3D FINE ART
While at Eastern Michigan University, I was fortunate to be able to take a course in 3D art. As an artist, it allowed me to explore something new. I enjoy experimenting with 3D art, however I do not specialize in it. Despite not having the dimensions or the materials I used, I want to show these pieces because all artists should explore new media.

CAT ARMOR
Cat Armor was an assignment to make battle armor for a small animal. I’ve always admired cats for their unique agility and their ability to adapt. This armor would fit a medium size house cat, though for safety reasons, this was never put on a cat.

CONNECTION
Connection was all about flat 2D shapes and 3D shapes that are connected by wooden dowels. This was inspired by human relationships, for those we are close with, we get to see the depth of them, and for those whom we don't truly know, we only see the surface. This was a fun experiment to explore how to create space with flat 2D shapes and 3D shapes.

PET ANXIETY
Pet Anxiety shows the concept of grasping at something I think I need but already have or will have. As a college student at the time I wanted to earn my Bachelor's degree in fine arts and I was grasping at the degree by trying to be the perfect student. I learned how to be patient with the college process and run the marathon of college rather than the sprint.

CHARCOAL FINE ART
Charcoal was my first art medium I explored in depth. In charcoal, I focus on the division of light and dark, both physically and abstractly.

COMFORTABLE ESCAPE
Comfortable Escape was an assignment for line work and how to create shapes with only lines. The inspiration for this piece was moving to college and escaping from childhood into adulthood and using that time to hone my skills as an artist..

LOSING YOURSELF
This series of still lifes is about what others see versus what you actually experience in the self. “Behind the Reflection” reflects what I hold up for others to see masking the trials and difficulties that few see. “Division Within” illustrates trying to do everything and coming out with nothing in the end. “Wrapped in Hobbies” is inspired by focusing on a few things you find fulfillment in but not forgetting those people you do them with

FAITH BASED FINE ART
Faith-based fine art is focused on my faith and allows me to express that faith in experimental ways.

BEAUTIFUL CROSS
Beautiful Cross was created around Easter to reflect how the cross is the worst and yet the greatest thing that ever happened. It reflects the ugliness and the beauty of the Crucifixion.

BlUE STAR
Blue Star reflects God’s burning, and fierce love for us that, when we allow it, consumes us and makes us more beautiful. God can make beauty out of surrender and transform hurt and pain into something beautiful that glorifies Him.

DAUGHTER OF GOD
Daughter of God is a 2.5-D piece that demonstrates my self-surrender to the Father and fulfilling my identity as a daughter of God. God will take care of my needs like any good earthly father would.duce the services you offer. Click on the text box to edit the content.

SHEPHERD DOG
Shepherd Dog is inspired by my desire to offer my work up to where God is calling me at the current moment. Whether that is playing sports, working at a fast food restaurant, or attending classes as a college student, God is calling me to live in the current moment and be obedient to His will.

WATERCOLOR FINE ART
Another Eastern Michigan course, Watercolor Fine Art is one that I do not specialize in but find very relaxing and enjoy experimenting with.

CHILD'S DOLL HOUSE
Child’s Doll House is based on a doll house gifted to a friend by her father. This piece reflects the innocence of the child and the hard work and determination of the father to build this doll house for his daughter.

FOOD
Food is a two piece series of basic watercolor exercises to demonstrate what I have done to experiment with new media.

GARDEN OF THE HEART
Garden of the Heart is inspired by friends being able to enter into my heart emotionally and spiritually. By allowing these friends to enter, the garden of my heart becomes more beautiful and they tend to it.G

MOUNTAIN OF LIFE
Mountain of Life shows how while mountains may be difficult to climb when you only see the rock face in front of you, but when you look back you are able to see their beauty and how far you’ve come.
